A devastating incident occurred in South Dakota, where a 1-year-old boy from Minnesota tragically lost his life. According to his grieving family, the young child fell from a third-floor hotel room window.

Madden Hein tragically passed away in the hospital on Monday, just two days after falling from the Club House Hotel & Suites in Sioux Falls. This devastating news was shared by his grieving parents, Kathryn and Alex Hein, on Tuesday.

“We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved baby boy, Madden, passed away on the evening of April 15th,” the couple shared on Facebook. “We are overwhelmed with grief and finding it difficult to come to terms with this devastating loss.”

According to the Heins, Madden has made the decision to become an organ donor. They expressed their belief that Madden’s organs will have a positive impact on numerous individuals, referring to their son as a real-life superhero.

According to Officer Sam Clemens from the Sioux Falls Police Department, authorities are currently investigating Madden’s death. However, he emphasized that there is no evidence to suggest that it was anything other than a tragic accident.

On Wednesday, around 250 individuals gathered outside Sanford Children’s Hospital to support Madden’s parents as their toddler prepared for organ donation surgery, according to a report by KELO.

Alex Hein, Madden’s father, is not only a middle school social studies teacher but also a high school basketball coach. On the other hand, his mother, Kathryn Hein, is a kindergarten teacher who also dedicates her time to coaching volleyball.

According to the Star Tribune, the couple is not only parents to a 3-year-old daughter but is also expecting another child in August.

As of Thursday, a GoFundMe campaign for the family has managed to raise over $69,000.
