Trump Joins Right-Wing Outrage Over ‘Trans Day of Visibility’

Conservatives are expressing their outrage as President Joe Biden recognizes the “Trans Day of Visibility,” coinciding with Easter this year.

It seems that many right-wing pundits and politicians are furious and even believe that Biden himself established the annual tradition, despite the fact that it has been around for over a decade and takes place every year on March 31.

On Friday, the controversy ignited when Biden released a statement in which he formally acknowledged the date. This proclamation is a customary practice followed by the White House for numerous holidays throughout the year.

“Transgender Americans are an integral part of our nation,” the proclamation declared. “Today, we want to convey a powerful message to all transgender Americans: You are cherished, your voices are heard, and your experiences are acknowledged. You are an integral part of America, and my entire administration stands firmly by your side.”

Many prominent conservatives were quick to express their dissatisfaction with the president’s decision to acknowledge the date, especially since it happens to fall on Easter this year.

Former commander-in-chief Donald Trump led a prominent campaign against the announcement, with his press secretary releasing a statement condemning it. The campaign also highlighted a recent flyer that stated children participating in the White House’s Easter egg design contest are not allowed to use “overtly religious themes.”

“It is absolutely shocking and offensive that the White House under Joe Biden’s administration banned children from participating in the Easter Art Event by submitting religious egg designs. To make matters worse, they went as far as declaring Easter Sunday as the ‘Trans Day of Visibility,'” expressed Karoline Leavitt, former press secretary for Donald Trump.

The Biden Administration’s continuous attack on the Christian faith is disheartening. It is imperative that Joe Biden’s failing campaign and White House issue a sincere apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians in America. Tomorrow is a day of celebration for the resurrection of Jesus Christ and should not be overshadowed by any other event.

In response to Trump’s criticism, the White House issued a direct statement, highlighting the fact that the rules for the egg design contest were established over 40 years ago and remained unchanged throughout the entire Trump Administration.

White House spokesperson Andrew Bates responded on social media, specifically on X (formerly Twitter), by stating that the information provided in a Fox News story about the Easter egg design contest rules was inaccurate. Bates emphasized the need for fact-checking and pointed out the omission of the origin of the rules in the article.

The news outlet that holds the notorious distinction of paying nearly $1 billion for deceiving its audience finds itself in an embarrassing situation once again. This particular story revolves around nonpartisan guidelines that have been in place for a staggering 45 years, even during the previous administration.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) expressed her disapproval on social media, insinuating that Biden’s announcement was disrespectful to God.

In the past year, Greene attempted to spread false information about a fabricated “trans day of vengeance” on X, which led to a temporary restriction on her social media account.

The outrage largely revolved around the false notion that Biden intentionally chose the day in question to disrespect American Christians.

Conspiracy theorist and unsuccessful former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy went so far as to directly accuse Joe Biden of determining the date for “Transgender Visibility Day” on Sunday, March 31st. Ramaswamy expressed his skepticism by stating, “I wonder how he came up with that date.”

Even House Speaker Mike Johnson decided to join in on the fun.

In a recent tweet, he expressed his disappointment with the Biden White House for what he sees as a betrayal of the central message of Easter. According to him, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the core principle of Easter, and by banning sacred truth and tradition while simultaneously proclaiming Easter Sunday as ‘Transgender Day,’ the White House is going against this fundamental belief. He finds this decision outrageous and abhorrent, and believes that the American people are also taking note of this contradiction.

Right-wing activist Charlie Kirk also took to social media to express his discontent with the announcement. He suggested that if Trump is re-elected to the White House this fall, Republicans should respond by creating their own holiday that opposes transgender rights.

The White House responded strongly to Republicans who expressed anger over the routine proclamation, particularly those who questioned Biden’s Catholic faith.

In response to the attacks on Saturday, President Biden, who celebrates Easter with his family, emphasizes the importance of unity and preserving the dignity and freedoms of all Americans. Bates, a spokesperson for the President, expresses disappointment that some politicians are resorting to divisive and harmful rhetoric to divide and weaken our country. Such cruel, hateful, and dishonest language hinders our progress as a nation.

President Biden will never exploit his faith for political gain or personal profit.

The president, of course, is simply observing a day that was championed by activist Rachel Crandall-Crocker. She created the annual holiday in 2010 as a response to the violence faced by transgender people.
