In the 2016 and 2020 elections, Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s nominee, received an impressive 451,905 votes, accounting for 59.8 percent of the total. This significant support earned him 47 delegates at the Republican National Convention, where the official nominee is chosen.

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who emerged as his last remaining rival, garnered an impressive 298,674 votes during the election, which accounted for 39.5 percent of the total votes cast, resulting in the acquisition of three delegates.

Haley was the only candidate to win a county in the central part of the state, while Trump emerged victorious in all the other counties, except for those along the south coast.
