Virginia Woman Claims Second $1m Lottery Prize

A lucky woman from Virginia hit the jackpot with a $1 million prize from a scratch-off ticket. What makes this win even more remarkable is that she had previously won a $100,000 lottery prize just three years ago. This incredible stroke of luck has certainly brought some extra excitement into her life.

Gayla Guishard from Smithfield shared with Virginia Lottery officials that she purchased her Virginia Millions scratch-off ticket at the Race Way station on Carrollton Boulevard in Isle of Wight County. She couldn’t contain her excitement when she scratched off the $1 million prize and caused quite a scene.

According to her, the commotion prompted individuals outside to quickly enter the store and inquire about the cause of the disturbance.

Guishard recalled, “We fell silent, not uttering a single word.”

In 2021, Guishard was the lucky recipient of a $100,000 prize from Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.
