Wall Street Veteran Challenges Ocasio-cortez In Primary Race

Marty Dolan, a seasoned Wall Street professional, has embarked on a daring endeavor by launching a primary challenge against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

“The Radicals fail to provide anything substantial as they disregard the fact that the main earners are leaving and dismiss the concerns of taxpayers in favor of vague populist ideologies. It’s time to put an end to this,” he expressed in his official campaign declaration.

According to him, New Yorkers are well aware of various scams, including the one proposed by the Radicals. However, he believes that New Yorkers have a strong desire for New York City to be the finest city in the best country in the world.

According to his campaign website, Dolan has a wealth of experience in the global risk insurance sector and has spent the past 40 years as a financial adviser, strategist, and investor. He initially ran against Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) in New York’s 16th Congressional District. However, he decided to switch districts when New York County Executive George Latimer joined the race, as reported by Bloomberg.

Ocasio-Cortez’s congressional tenure began in 2019, making her the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. Dolan’s campaign, as stated in his announcement, seems to be focused on opposing “radical” policies.

According to him, the primary election on June 25th, 2024 will serve as a referendum to determine whether we have benefitted or suffered as a result of implementing Radical policies. While he supports the notion of progress associated with the Progressive movement, he believes that the influence of Radicals within the Democratic Party has become excessive.

“The impact in NYC is obvious: bail reform a disaster, the National Guard in the subway, toothpaste locked up in drugstores but criminals running free, scarce resources directed to (non-sanctuary) immigrants coming from all over the world,” he added.
