Wisconsin Republican Claims Biden Is Permitting Hamas To ‘rearm’ While Israel Faces Pressure

Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) accused President Biden of allowing Hamas to “rearm” in the wake of heightened pressure on Israel over the last two weeks.

Johnson reiterated that Israel must eliminate Hamas to preserve its security and that giving the opposition “time” could result in a worse conclusion.

“It’s not tenable for them to continue to live with Hamas on their border,” Johnson told radio talk show host John Catsimatidis of WABC 770 AM’s “Cats Roundtable.”

“They must eliminate Hamas, and the Biden administration should allow them to do so in order to end the war as soon as possible, so that what you are describing can begin.” So, again, giving your adversaries time to recover and rearm will only make the ultimate consequences bloodier.

The Wisconsin senator went after Biden, accusing him of “abandoning” Israel in light of his growing criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the Gaza conflict. Johnson also expressed uncertainty about the “extent” to which the Biden administration’s “fecklessness” has affected Israel.

According to Johnson, President Biden is essentially abandoning and betraying Israel. He believes that the ceasefire should not have been broken by Hamas, leading to a horrific slaughter on October 7. Johnson is unsure to what extent Israel has been hindered by President Biden and his administration’s lack of effectiveness, but he emphasizes that war is a terrible ordeal that should be overcome as soon as possible.

In recent times, Biden has expressed strong disapproval of Netanyahu’s approach to managing the ongoing conflict. After a devastating strike that resulted in the deaths of aid workers from World Central Kitchen, who were dedicated to providing assistance to Palestinians in Gaza, Biden personally spoke to the Israeli leader. During their phone call, he cautioned Netanyahu that the United States would reassess its stance on the conflict if Israel failed to take significant measures to reduce civilian casualties.

Johnson criticized Biden for not providing enough support to bring Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table. He argued that the Kremlin will not be defeated in the ongoing war against Ukraine, which has been defending itself against the invasion for more than two years.

According to Johnson, Biden’s failure to provide sufficient support and weaponry has hindered the ability to exert pressure on Putin and bring him to the negotiating table.

“I’m not sure what went wrong… It seems like they were making progress towards a peace agreement when the Biden administration and Boris Johnson stepped in and disrupted those negotiations,” he remarked.

According to the Republican senator, Russia has an advantage in terms of troop numbers and defense production, which have been growing since the invasion began in 2022. He believes that Russia will not be defeated.

He confidently asserted that Russia will emerge victorious in this war, citing their large population and expanding military industrial base as key factors. Additionally, he highlighted the upward trend in oil prices and the ineffectiveness of sanctions against Russia. While expressing sympathy for the brave people of Ukraine, he emphasized the need to acknowledge the reality and refrain from exacerbating the ongoing conflict.

“We are faced with a regrettable situation where our policymakers, particularly those in the Biden administration, are unwilling to acknowledge the truth and take appropriate action.”
