Aiexpress – The incident happened in the hallway of the Garnet Health Medical Center in Wallkill, Orange County, at 707 E. Main St.
Lt. Robert McLymore of the Wallkill Police Department reported that when officers arrived at the hospital, they discovered a 35-year-old man from New Windsor with a stab wound in his shoulder.
With the help of a police officer from the town of Cornwall Police Department, an investigation was carried out at the hospital, which eventually led to the arrest of the suspect, McLymore stated.
According to McLymore, the 15-year-old, who was receiving medical treatment at the hospital for an unrelated condition, has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
She was given an appearance ticket and instructed to return to Orange County Family Court.
The police did not reveal the motive behind the teenager’s stabbing of the man or whether they had any prior connection.
