24-year-old California resident among four fatalities in hot air balloon crash in Arizona

According to authorities, four individuals, including 24-year-old Atahan Kiliccote from Cupertino, California, lost their lives in a tragic hot air balloon crash on Sunday morning.

One of the victims of the fatal crash, which took place around 7:50 a.m. in a rural desert area about 60 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona, has been identified as Kiliccote by the Eloy Police Department on Monday.

According to the police, the hot air balloon had a total of 13 people on board. This included eight skydivers, one operator, and four passengers. The incident occurred after the skydivers had finished their jumps and left the balloon.

The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the crash, with the objective of identifying the factors that played a role in this tragic event.

The tight-knit community is deeply saddened by the loss of Atahan Kiliccote and the other victims, underscoring the importance of conducting a comprehensive examination to prevent similar incidents from occurring again in the future.
