Aiexpress – On Thursday, the agency announced that two men from Maryland and one from the District were arrested as a result of a thorough investigation conducted by the Gang Unit. This investigation led to a significant seizure of drugs and weapons.
The individuals who have been charged are:

- Dream Edwards, 26, of Columbia;
- Romel Johnson, 22, of Laurel;
- Michael Jordan Thompson, 34, of Washington, DC.
During the investigation, detectives carried out a search warrant at a residence on Avebury Drive in Laurel, resulting in the discovery and confiscation of four firearms, 300 fentanyl pills, and various other pieces of incriminating contraband.
During a subsequent search of two vehicles associated with the suspects, law enforcement officers discovered an AK-47, three pounds of marijuana, and 3,000 fentanyl pills.
With an average price of $40 per pill, the 3,300 fentanyl pills had a street value of over $125,000, as reported by the Addiction Center.
Edwards and Johnson faced charges for several firearm and drug trafficking offenses, while Thompson faced charges for multiple drug-related offenses.
The Department of Corrections currently has custody of them.
