Assistance required to repatriate the body of father discovered deceased in Broward canal by his family.

Alina Alvarado, the mother of Edwards, expressed, “He had the ability to bring joy to anyone’s day, whether he knew them or not. I am taking each day as it comes and staying strong for my other children.”

On Monday, deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office successfully located the 2003 SUV that Edwards was driving.

Loved ones are currently faced with the challenge of bringing his remains back from South Florida to New Jersey, a task that comes with a hefty price tag of over $3,500.

“We have set aside some funds for the funeral,” revealed Hector Alvarado, Edwards’ father. “However, we were not prepared for the additional expense of repatriating his body.”
