Aiexpress – Secaucus police responded to a call regarding an infant who had lost consciousness at the Extended Stay America on Meadowlands Parkway on Thursday, Jan. 18.
The baby was quickly taken to Hudson Regional Hospital and later transferred to Hackensack University Medical Center, according to Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller.
According to the chief, the police detained the 17-year-old mother of the child and issued a juvenile complaint against her. Additionally, her adult boyfriend was arrested on an adult criminal child endangerment charge.
Both individuals were released while they await their court hearings, according to the spokesperson.
The New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency received a notification as well.
