Delaware childcare worker arrested for child abuse, according to police

Delaware State police have announced the arrest of a 24-year-old woman named Kayla Manuzak from Dover on Thursday. The arrest was made in connection with multiple child abuse charges, and it comes as a result of an ongoing investigation.

The police received a report from the staff at Hartly Learning Academy on December 6th regarding a former child care employee who was suspected of abusing a child.

According to the police, the infants were between five and fourteen months old. Each of the children underwent medical evaluation and received necessary care.

According to the police, Manuszak turned herself in on February 8th and was charged with 21 counts of 3rd-degree child abuse and 14 counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Police stated that Manuszak was arraigned and is currently being held on a cash bond of $119,000.
