A fatal crash on Friday afternoon has prompted authorities in Lee’s Summit to respond.
The Lee’s Summit Police Department has reported a fatal motorcycle crash on 50 Highway near 3rd Street. The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, according to the police.
According to the LSPD, a crash occurred involving two cars and a motorcycle. The initial investigation suggests that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 Highway, specifically east of SW 3rd Street, when it collided with the rear of a vehicle in traffic.
According to the police, it is expected that the victim will be identified on Saturday.
