Father Goes Missing from Upstate New York Hospital, Discovered Deceased

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) reported that a missing man was discovered in a river in Upstate New York in the latest edition of DEC Forest Rangers – Week in Review.

Wilderness Recovery: Village of Cooperstown, Otsego County

On January 28, two DEC rangers were enlisted to assist in the search efforts. The following day, an additional two DEC rangers were assigned to conduct linear searches along roads in areas where there had been reported sightings.

On Friday, Feb. 2, a team comprising of six Rangers, New York State Police (NYSP), Cooperstown Police, the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office, and DEC’s Division of Law Enforcement, continued their search.

Missing Upstate New York Father Found Dead In Susquehanna River

The New York State Police is currently leading the investigation and has not yet released the cause of death.

State officials are now seeking assistance in locating a Hudson Valley man who has been missing for over a week and may require medical attention.
