Iowa Star Caitlin Clark Sets New Record For Highest Valued Women’s Basketball Card

Aiexpress – Caitlin Clark, the star of Iowa women’s basketball, is no stranger to breaking records. Not only is she the most dominant player in the game right now, regardless of gender, but she is also leading the nation in scoring with an impressive average of 31.0 points per game. In fact, she is on track to surpass the all-time scoring record. Off the court, Clark’s success extends beyond her athletic achievements. She is one of the most sought-after college athletes in the NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) arena, with renowned brands such as Nike, Gatorade, State Farm, and Bose partnering with her.

In her collaboration with Topps, Clark is setting a new record as her signed 2022 Bowman U Basketball card reaches an all-time high bid. This makes it the most valuable women’s basketball card to date.

According to Eric Whiteback, also known as The Collectibles Guru, the bid for Clark’s signed card has surpassed the previous record held by Sabrina Ionescu, the former Oregon star and current Liberty guard. The current bid stands at $21,600, while Ionescu’s record was $11,500.

With only six days remaining in the auction, there is still a possibility for the record number to increase even further.

According to Vivid Seats, there has been a significant surge in the average sold price for both home and away regular season games for Iowa women’s basketball this year, with a remarkable increase of 162% compared to the previous season. The popularity of the team has soared as the Clark show has made its way across the country, attracting massive attendance in away game markets.
