Aiexpress – The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday night, resulting in the tragic death of one person.
The Kansas City police officers swiftly arrived at the scene near E. 58th Street and Swope Parkway in response to a disturbance call shortly after 6 p.m.
When police arrived, they were led to the front of a convenience store, where they saw a man who looked like he had been shot and was not moving. At the scene, they said he was dead.
Eyewitnesses at the scene informed the police that there was a heated argument unfolding inside the establishment between the victim and at least one other individual. As tensions rose, the situation took a dangerous turn when gunshots were fired, resulting in the victim sustaining injuries, as reported by the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD).
The authorities have not yet released any information about the suspect, and as of now, no one has been taken into custody.
The detectives are currently investigating the scene, diligently searching for both evidence and witnesses who were present during the incident.
