Aiexpress – The man who attacked cops with a machete in Times Square has pleaded guilty to terrorism charges.
Trevor Bickford assaulted three officers on New Year’s Eve 2022. One of the officers shot him in the shoulder to bring him down.
According to the NYPD, Bickford flew from Maine especially to murder as many uniformed personnel as possible, selecting the extremely congested Times Square as his kill zone on New Year’s Day.
Police describe the attack as “jihadist,” with Bickford expressing radical Islamic fanaticism during it.
He will be sentenced in April, and his sentence might range from 60 to 120 years.
