Aiexpress – Police have named the man whose chopped head was found in the freezer of an apartment in New York City. The woman who was arrested said her husband killed the man.
According to WNBC-TV, cops found Kawsheen Gelzer’s body parts while looking into a tip that there was a dead body in the woman’s freezer on Monday.
She let the cops into her house when they came.
They reportedly became suspicious of the freezer when they saw that it was locked and the woman became angry when asked what was inside.
FOX News reports that NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told reporters on Tuesday, “The fridge was taped up.” “They were trying to hole up, I guess, the smell inside.”
“We know what to do. “We have some limbs,” Kenny said. “It looks like we have the whole body right now.”
Police sources told WNBC that the woman was arrested on separate charges and is now getting psychiatric care at a hospital in Brooklyn, where she named Gelzer as the victim in her freezer. Investigators say that his unique tattoos helped them prove his identity at the very least.
Sources told the station that the woman blamed her husband, who is currently spending time in a Virginia prison, for killing Gelzer.
Police were told that the killing happened because of a drug fight between the woman and her husband. She said she had nothing to do with it, and she hasn’t been named a suspect in his death.
It’s not clear how long the body parts of the subject were frozen. The way he died is still being looked into.
The Messenger asked the NYPD for a response, but they didn’t answer right away.
