Melania Trump made a rare public appearance during this election cycle by joining her husband at a polling place in Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday.
When asked by a reporter if she would accompany the former president on the campaign trail, the former first lady responded with a smile and a teasing remark of “stay tuned,” leaving the details up in the air.
After casting their votes, the Trumps strolled away from the reporters, their smiles radiant as they walked hand in hand.
Campaign advisers have previously shared videos showcasing the couple’s presence at Mar-a-Lago during exclusive events. One notable occasion was when they graciously hosted Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
In December, Melania Trump gave a speech at a naturalization ceremony held at the National Archives in Washington, although her husband did not accompany her to the event.
During his campaign rallies, Donald Trump frequently mentions his wife’s disapproval of his occasionally explicit language and dance moves, jokingly referring to them as “unprofessional.”
During a September interview with NBC News, Trump was asked about his wife’s involvement in his campaign. He responded by saying that she would be joining him “soon” and at the “appropriate time,” but he also mentioned that he prefers to keep her away from the political spotlight.
According to Trump, Melania is currently at school with Barron. He mentioned how much she loves her son and emphasized that she is quite popular. Trump also praised her for being incredibly supportive.
“She’ll be at the appropriate time,” he added. “She’s a private person, a great person, very confident person. And she loves our country very much.”
“She’ll be out there, and to be honest, I prefer to shield her from it. It’s such a harsh and cruel environment,” Trump remarked.
