Multiple individuals injured and hospitalized following a shooting incident in Compton

At least five people were taken to the hospital by firefighters following a shooting incident in a Compton neighborhood.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that the shooting occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Alondra Boulevard and Acacia Avenue. Initially, it was stated that there were eight victims, with their conditions unknown. However, later in the afternoon, the count was revised to five victims.

According to the Compton Fire Department, there were five individuals who were transported to the hospital after the shooting incident. Additionally, the L.A. County Fire Department also confirmed that they transported one patient.

The report by Compton Fire does not provide any information about whether this victim was accounted for.

No suspect is currently in custody, according to authorities.
