‘no, No, No, Absolutely Not’: Mitt Romney Firmly Rejects The Idea Of Voting For Trump Over Biden

Aiexpress – In a bold statement on Wednesday night, Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) expressed his unequivocal decision not to vote for Donald Trump if he becomes the Republican presidential nominee. This declaration comes as no surprise, considering the prevailing likelihood of Trump securing the nomination.

In an interview on Wednesday’s episode of “The Source,” Romney was questioned by Kaitlan Collins about his stance on Nikki Haley’s statement that Trump would not be able to defeat President Joe Biden if he becomes the nominee. Despite Haley’s aspirations to challenge Trump for the nomination, she hasn’t made significant progress in any primary or caucus state.

Mitt Romney expressed his disagreement with Nikki Haley’s claim, stating, “Yeah, I don’t necessarily agree with that. That’s a good campaign line, I’m sure.” However, Romney believes that despite the current uncertainty, the candidate could still emerge victorious. He stated, “But I think he could win. I mean, today it’s kind of a toss-up. But if the election were actually held today, I think he’d probably win.”

Romney expressed his disapproval of Biden’s approach to border security and immigration, highlighting the president’s significant errors in this area.

The senator expressed his dissatisfaction with Trump’s performance, stating, “It’s embarrassing how bad he’s been.” However, the senator also acknowledged that Trump had made some intelligent decisions during his presidency.

Collins shifted her focus towards the upcoming general election, where it is highly probable that Biden and Trump will face off once again.

COLLINS: But can I just ask, I think that those comments there may raise some questions for people watching at home. Would you vote for Donald Trump over Joe Biden? ROMNEY: No, no, no, absolutely not. I mean, for me, there are two factors deciding who I want to have as the leader of my country and the person who is the example of the president for my kids, my grandkids. One is their position and policies. And on foreign policy, I’m not aligned with Donald Trump, at least as I understand his policy. And domestic policy? Yeah, I align with many of his domestic policies. But there’s another dimension besides policy. And that’s character. And I think what America is as a nation, what has allowed us to be the most powerful nation on Earth and the leader of the Earth is the character of the people who have been our leaders – past presidents, but also mothers, fathers, church leaders, university presidents, and so forth. Having a president who is so defaulted of character would have an enormous impact on the character of America. And for me, that’s the primary consideration.
