Aiexpress – A tragic incident occurred in Washington when a man lost his life after being struck by a car in the early hours of Saturday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
Just after 1 a.m., a man was crossing the street at 16th St. and Newton St., NW when an unidentified car traveling north on 16th St. struck him and immediately left the scene.
The man was rushed to the hospital with injuries that posed a threat to his life.
He passed away in the hospital on Sunday.
The man’s name was Delaverlure Dunbar, a 39-year-old resident of Northwest D.C.
