Postal Worker Fatally Shot In His Mail Van In Targeted Attack

According to Ohio police, a 33-year-old postal worker was fatally shot in his mail van during a “targeted attack.”

According to Warren police, who are located about 60 miles southeast of Cleveland, a shooter shot Jonte Davis on Saturday afternoon while firing from another car.

Davis and the suspect are believed to know each other, according to the police.

Later on Saturday, the suspect’s automobile was spotted in a driveway, and police claimed they had secured a search order for the house and vehicle.

The police added that while several people were interviewed, no one is in custody.

The US Postal Service and the FBI are assisting with the investigation.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Davis’ family, friends, and fellow postal employees who knew and worked with him,” said Michael Martel, a Postal Inspection Service representative. “Mr. Davis worked for USPS for less than a year and was described as a good employee by his supervisors.”

The Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $250,000 and requests that anyone with information call them at 877-876-2455.
