Super Tuesday Live Results: Haley Claims First State Win In Vermont As Trump’s Lead Grows

Nikki Haley emerged victorious over Donald Trump in a closely contested Republican primary in Vermont.

In a meandering speech following his triumph in approximately twelve primaries, the ex-president declared his victory.

Mr. Trump confidently addressed the audience at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night, emphasizing the significance of the day as he declared, “They call it Super Tuesday for a reason. This is a big one.”

“They say there has never been anything quite like this before… never anything so conclusive,” he exclaimed.

President Joe Biden and Mr. Trump both declared initial victories in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. However, Mr. Biden experienced an unexpected upset from an unknown candidate in the US territory of American Samoa.

Donald Trump appears to be the clear frontrunner for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination. He has already secured significant victories in several states, including Iowa, the US Virgin Islands, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina, Michigan, Idaho, and Missouri.

The only remaining challenger to President Trump is Ms. Haley, the well-funded but under-performing ex-UN ambassador. She has previously won the District of Columbia.
