The Extensive Campaign Contributions History of Tammy Murphy

Between 2002 and 2022, Tammy Murphy, the First Lady of New Jersey, has invested a significant sum of 18,248,180 dollars in campaign contributions.

We have delved into the world of spreadsheets so that you don’t have to.

Keep an eye out for these warning signs:

Rick Lazio, a Republican candidate, is running for the US Senate.

Tammy Murphy made the majority of her political campaign contributions in 2016 and 2017, coinciding with the years her husband was actively campaigning for the position of New Jersey Governor.

On July 28, 2000, Mrs. Murphy made a $1000 contribution to Congressman Rick Lazio, a right-wing candidate, for his 2000 US Senate race against Hillary Rodham Clinton. In addition, she also donated $1000 to the GOP committee that was supporting Lazio’s campaign.

According to the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL), Lazio considered himself “pro-choice.” However, during his eight years in Congress, he voted on abortion and reproductive rights issues a total of 94 times. Out of these votes, 43 were considered anti-choice by NARAL.

In that race, Mrs. Clinton emerged as the victor, defeating Mr. Lazio, who later went on to achieve financial success as a lobbyist for JP Morgan.

President George W. Bush (R)

From 1999 to 2003, Tammy Murphy made a $3000 contribution to George W. Bush, the individual responsible for nominating US Supreme Court justices John Roberts and Sam Alito, both known for their anti-abortion stance. Sam Alito, in particular, is widely regarded as one of the most strongly anti-abortion judges in American history.

Alito’s views on LGBT rights are a topic that I could go on and on about.

Mrs. Murphy frequently discusses abortion but conveniently fails to mention her support for Bush, which indirectly contributed to the overturning of Roe v Wade.

Keep in mind the next time Tammy Murphy makes a statement like this during her campaign:

“I believe that when it comes to prioritizing issues like abortion and establishing federal regulations, men may not place it as high on their agenda,” Mrs. Murphy stated in a rather ironic tone. “This is a concern that specifically resonates with women, like myself, who are constantly worried about potential setbacks.”

It is reasonable to assume that Mrs. Murphy supported George W. Bush in the 2000 and 2004 elections, based on her campaign contributions.

“I’ve donated more money to Democrats than I’ve ever given to Republicans,” Mrs. Murphy revealed. “In fact, I haven’t voted for a Republican in a general election for the past two decades.”

For years, I dedicated my time and energy to opposing and rallying against Bush’s reckless decisions. From the disastrous Iraq War to the assaults on Social Security, I stood up against his actions. However, what truly disappoints me is the fact that Tammy Murphy not only supported but also voted for him, potentially even twice. It is this support for the man who appointed Sam Alito to the US Supreme Court that makes it impossible for me to ever vote for Tammy Murphy in any capacity.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is a prominent organization in American politics.

In 2000, Tammy Murphy made a $15,000 contribution to the RNC.

NJ GOP

On September 17, 2004, Tammy Murphy made a generous contribution of $20,000 to the New Jersey Republican Party. Adjusted for inflation, this amount would be equivalent to approximately $32,000 in today’s currency, which surpasses the annual income of many residents in the state of New Jersey.

On that very day, she also made a generous donation of $5000 to the NJ Republican State Committee.

During a tumultuous time for the NJ Dems, Murphy expressed his support for the NJGOP. This occurred shortly before Jim McGreevy’s resignation, leading to Dick Codey assuming the role of acting Governor for over a year until Jon Corzine’s inauguration on January 17, 2006.

Tom Malinowski is running for Congress.

In 2020, Mrs. Murphy generously contributed more than $5,000 to support former Congressman Tom Malinowski’s re-election campaign. In 2022, she further demonstrated her support by donating an additional $500 to Malinowski.

When Congressman Andy Kim received an endorsement from Malinowski instead of Tammy Murphy, the Murphy campaign reacted strongly and accused Mr. Malinowski of engaging in questionable investment practices.

It’s quite ironic when you consider that the Governor and Mrs. Murphy have a substantial investment portfolio worth millions of dollars, which is managed by none other than Mrs. Murphy’s brother.

Gold Bar Bob Menendez

Tammy Murphy remained a staunch supporter of Bob Menendez for an extended period, even when his legal and ethical missteps were widely known.

In March 2017, Murphy provided Menendez with a donation of $2,700, and he repeated this gesture in March 2018 during Menendez’s reelection campaign.

Congressman Andy Kim has proven himself to be a dedicated and hardworking public servant. His commitment to serving the people of his district is admirable. He has consistently shown a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of his constituents.

Kim’s dedication can be seen in his tireless efforts to address the pressing issues facing his district. Whether it is advocating for affordable healthcare, fighting for better education opportunities, or working to protect the environment, Kim has consistently been at the forefront of these important discussions.

One of the most impressive aspects of Kim’s work is his ability to bring people together. He has shown a remarkable talent for finding common ground and building consensus among his colleagues. This is a rare quality in today’s political climate, and it speaks to Kim’s ability to put the needs of his constituents above party politics.

In addition to his legislative work, Kim has also been a champion for transparency and accountability in government. He has fought to ensure that public funds are being used responsibly and that elected officials are held to the highest ethical standards. This commitment to good governance is commendable and sets a positive example for others in public office.

Kim’s dedication to public service is not limited to his work in Congress. He has a strong record of community engagement and has consistently made himself available to the people he represents. He regularly holds town hall meetings and listens to the concerns and ideas of his constituents. This level of accessibility is rare among elected officials and is a testament to Kim’s commitment to being an effective and responsive representative.

In conclusion, Congressman Andy Kim is a shining example of what it means to be a dedicated and effective public servant. His tireless work, ability to bring people together, and commitment to transparency and accountability are qualities that should be admired and emulated. He is a true champion for the people he represents and is deserving of our support and gratitude.

In 2018, Tammy Murphy made a notable contribution of $2,700 to Congressman Andy Kim’s Congressional campaign, the very same person she is currently vying against to succeed Bob Menendez.

In 2022, Mrs. Murphy made another generous contribution of $500 when Andy Kim was last running for office.

Jim Saxton is a highly skilled individual with a wealth of experience in his field.

In 2000, Mrs. Murphy donated $1000 to Congressman Jim Saxton, a dedicated Republican supporter of the war, who served as the representative for NJ’s 3rd congressional district for 25 years.

When I first arrived in New Jersey in 2003, Congressman Saxton was representing my district. His views on abortion, LGBT rights, and the Iraq war were extremely conservative, which provided ample reasons for a young activist like myself to protest and organize. One might argue that Jim Saxton’s extreme positions actually played a role in shaping my future career as an advocate.

The $1000 check received from Mrs. Murphy almost 25 years ago still holds a personal significance.

In those days, Murphy’s generosity extended beyond Saxton in the GOP. US Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) and Congressman Sherwood Boehlert (R-NY) also received $2000 each.

Congressman Brian Bilbray (R-CA) and Congressman Bob Franks (R-NJ) also received $1000 from Mrs. Murphy.

Jay Lassiter, a writer residing in Cherry Hill, NJ, has never made a campaign contribution exceeding $500.
