Aiexpress – According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), two boys were arrested after they tried to rob a woman in Northeast early Friday morning.
The crime happened around 12:40 a.m., and MPD said that a 9-year-old and a 13-year-old from Northeast D.C. faced charges.
Police say the boys had weapons when they attacked a woman in the 500 block of 10th St. NE, tried to steal her purse, and hit her. MPD says that one of the boys pulled out a knife and lunged at the woman several times after being sprayed with pepper.
When the woman called 911, police arrived and arrested the boys.
