3-month-old Girl Found Dead At NYC Migrant After Suffering Cardiac Arrest

Aiexpress –  The New York Police Department revealed that a 3-month-old girl who was staying in a migrant shelter in Queens, New York, died of suspected cardiac arrest.

The NYPD said it received a call from a family member Sunday afternoon reporting that the girl had suddenly stopped breathing.

Emergency personnel hurried to the ninth story of the Queens County Inn and Suites in Long Island City and took the newborn to Mount Sinai Queens, but she could not be revived.

PIX11 said that the medical examiner will establish the cause of death. Members of the examiner’s office were spotted entering the hotel Sunday evening.

Police informed ABC7 that the death did not appear suspicious.

“This is an absolutely heart-breaking tragedy. Protecting the health and safety of our clients is our top priority, and non-profit provider staff responded immediately when this incident was reported to ensure appropriate medical support,” the city’s Department of Social Services told PIX11 in a statement.

“Our deepest condolences go out to all who have been impacted, and we stand ready to provide the family with every support we can during this incredibly difficult time.”
