Over the weekend, a child who was reported missing in the Baypine area near Lake Martin has tragically been found in the lake after an apparent drowning.
Alexander City Police responded to the missing child report on Saturday, December 30, prompting a coordinated search effort in the Baypine vicinity. Regrettably, the 3-year-old was located submerged in the lake and was pronounced dead due to an apparent drowning.
The incident is currently under active investigation, and at this time, no further details are available.
