Former Nashville Hospital Tech Charged With Rape Arrested In Illinois

Aiexpress – An Illinois police officer caught a former hospital tech from Nashville who had been wanted for over a year for rape.

Terrance Boyd, a 43-year-old suspect on the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Most Wanted list, was apprehended on January 19th. The arrest took place in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, where Boyd was found at a residence. The local authorities in Illinois detained him after the MNPD received tips regarding his potential location. Boyd was wanted on an outstanding warrant related to a rape case.

Investigators say Boyd abused a 13-year-old girl while working as a tech at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in July 2022. Authorities also said that Boyd was a room sitter for the victim.

Boyd agreed to a DNA test, which was done at a crime lab and found to be a match.

Boyd will soon be sent back to Nashville, where he will be arrested on a charge of statutory rape by a person in power.
