Governor and Senator Marshall unharmed after shooting incident at Chiefs rally

Governor Laura Kelly and U.S. Senator Roger Marshall have confirmed their safety following an incident of gunfire at the conclusion of the Kansas City Chiefs victory parade and rally.

Kelly stated that she had been escorted to a secure location, while Marshall confirmed that he and his team successfully reached a shelter without any issues. Missouri Governor Mike Parson also reassured the public that he and his wife were safe during the incident.

U.S. Senator Jerry Moran expressed his concern on social media, offering his prayers for all those involved. He took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the courageous law enforcement officers and first responders for their swift action. Senator Moran also urged everyone to prioritize their safety as they leave the area.

U.S. Representative Jake LaTurner expressed his sympathy and concern for the victims of the violent incident, stating, “I offer my prayers to the victims of this horrific act of violence. It is my sincere hope that those responsible for this heinous act are fully prosecuted and brought to justice. There is absolutely no room in our society for such hateful and evil behavior. I am grateful to the brave KCPD officers and first responders who fearlessly risked their lives to safeguard their fellow Americans.”
