In Atlantic City, two men tragically lost their lives in separate incidents on New Year’s morning.
Just over an hour ago, police received a call regarding a man who was bleeding on South California Avenue.
I received a call about a man who was bleeding in the first block of California Avenue.
Vincent O’Brien, III, aged 50, was discovered in the vicinity of Pacific and Monterey avenues. He was promptly transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus, where he tragically succumbed to his injury, as confirmed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
There is no belief that the cases are connected.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit is currently investigating these incidents in collaboration with the Atlantic City police.
