JFK holiday travelers abandon their cars on the highway when pro-Palestine protesters block the airport entrance

Some people trying to make their flights were forced to walk from the blockade to their terminal

Pro-ceasefire demonstrators obstructed one of the primary entrances to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City, resulting in travelers having to make their way to the terminal on foot from the highway.

A video circulating on social media captured a small group of individuals waving Palestinian flags and chanting pro-Palestinian slogans, causing traffic disruption on the I-678 as they blocked the way to the airport.

Passengers who were eager to catch their flights found themselves compelled to walk from the blockade to their respective terminals.

The police department of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey arrived at the scene and started clearing people off the road.

According to The Messenger, the incident commenced at 11:30 a.m. and was resolved within a mere twenty minutes, as confirmed by the P.A.

According to a spokesperson, authorities made 26 arrests for disorderly conduct and impeding vehicular traffic. To ensure the safety of affected travelers, the Port Authority responded by dispatching two airport buses, allowing them to reach their destination without any further inconvenience.

Protesters target LAX

Protesters made their presence known at one of the busiest airports on the west coast, LAX. As they gathered, traffic attempting to enter the airport was met with sandbags blocking their path, causing significant congestion.

The Los Angeles Police Department has requested drivers to avoid the area, if possible.
