Marjorie Taylor Greene, Georgia Representative, Rejects Border Agreement and Demands Ceasefire in Ukraine Conflict

In a series of recent social media posts, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has made her stance clear on the proposed border deal, expressing strong opposition to it. She firmly believes that HR2 is the solution that should be considered to address the ongoing border crisis. Furthermore, she has taken a firm stand against providing financial assistance to Ukraine, urging for an end to the conflict.

In her tweet, Greene expressed her excitement by exclaiming:

NOOOOOOOO!!!!! This is NOT a border deal! This is a border SURRENDER!! Any elected U.S. politician that supports this doesn’t represent Americans, they represent the rest of the world! Don’t bring it to the floor, put it through a paper shredder! Good answer.”

“The congresswoman passionately advocated for HR2 as the ultimate solution to tackle the border crisis. In her assertive words, she stated:”

HR2 is the only solution to stop the border crisis, stop amnesty for millions of illegals, and stopping the Democrat’s plan to turn millions of illegals into the next wave of voters!”

The deal she objected to included the following:

    • Increase green cards by 50,000 a year
    • Work permits for adult children of H-1B holders
    • Immediate work permits to every illegal released from custody
    • 5,000 migrants per day allowed into the U.S.
    • Restricts parole for those who enter without authorization between ports of entry

Greene’s stance is in line with her strong focus on immigration control, as she opposes granting amnesty to undocumented immigrants and stresses the importance of preventing illegal immigration.

In addition, the representative expressed her firm position on global matters, emphasizing, “We should not allocate any funds to Ukraine! It’s time to put an end to that war!” This remark underscores her disagreement with offering financial assistance to Ukraine and her plea for an immediate resolution to the ongoing conflict.

Greene’s social media posts reflect her unwavering opinions on immigration policies and international relations. She is a vocal supporter of strict border control measures, which resonates with a significant portion of the population that shares similar concerns about the border crisis and the distribution of resources to foreign countries.

Speaker Johnson unequivocally expressed his opinion on the deal, stating, “Absolutely not.”

The way we perceive immigration and international aid is still uncertain as ongoing debates unfold. It is yet to be determined how these perspectives will influence legislative conversations and public sentiment.
