Mom Runs Over 7-Year-Old Son With Her Car After Making Him Walk From School As A Form Of Punishment

Aiexpress  –  An Alabama mother punished her 7-year-old son by forcing him to walk home from school and then running him over by accident. According to police,

Sarai Rachel James, 27, picked up her son from school in Boaz about 3:30 p.m. on February 9 and learned from the administrator that he had been in trouble at school that morning, according to police.

According to authorities, James stopped her car near the school and forced her kid to get out. According to the cops, she informed him he’d have to walk or run the other eight blocks home.

James drove beside her son for a few streets, but as she slowed down, the child attempted to grab the car’s door handle, Boaz Chief of Police Michael Abercrombie, told McClatchy News.

According to authorities, she accelerated, and her kid was dragged below the car, which ran over him with its rear wheel.

According to Abercrombie, police believe James ran over the youngster by accident, but he would never have been there if she had not chosen to punish him.

“She might not have realized he was doing that,” Abercrombie explained.

He was brought to the University of Alabama hospital with merely abrasions on his back and side of the head.

Abercombie stated, “God watched over him.”

James, 27 years old, was arrested and charged with serious child abuse. She was released on a $50,000 bond three days later, according to jail records.

James is prohibited from contacting her kid, according to Al.com.

Another 53-year-old woman in the vehicle at the time of the incident was charged with a misdemeanor: endangering the welfare of a child. She was released on $500 bail.
