A mother was arrested on Monday by the Colorado Springs Police Department in connection with the death of her 4-year-old child in November.
The Crimes Against Children Unit received a notification on November 30, 2022, regarding the discovery of a deceased child. The child was found unresponsive and was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital by the mother and her boyfriend, as stated in a press release from the department.
The authorities have arrested the mother of the child, identified as 25-year-old Raven Rudd of Colorado Springs, after obtaining a warrant. Rudd is facing child abuse charges that recklessly led to the child’s death, which is classified as a Class 2 felony. According to the authorities, Rudd was taken into custody without any resistance.
