In Owego, New York, Forest Rangers recovered two bodies in different occasions. The first incidence was the discovery of a suicidal individual who had plunged into the Susquehanna River two days previously. Following an investigation into a theft on West Avenue, a juvenile was arrested for petit larceny.
Owego Police requested the assistance of Forest Rangers in the search for a suicidal individual who had leaped into the Susquehanna River. The subject was discovered the next day near the Millenium Bridge in Owego, Tioga County, by an air boat.
