New York Public Sentry’s Weekly Safety Report: Suicidal Individual Discovered in Susquehanna River, Minor Detained for Minor Theft in Owego, New York

In Owego, New York, Forest Rangers recovered two bodies in different occasions. The first incidence was the discovery of a suicidal individual who had plunged into the Susquehanna River two days previously. Following an investigation into a theft on West Avenue, a juvenile was arrested for petit larceny.

Owego Police requested the assistance of Forest Rangers in the search for a suicidal individual who had leaped into the Susquehanna River. The subject was discovered the next day near the Millenium Bridge in Owego, Tioga County, by an air boat.
