Howard University is getting a major boost with the presence of Vice President Kamala Harris at the Celebration Bowl. The Vice President, who is an alumna of Howard University, will be attending the bowl game on Saturday, Dec. 16. This exciting news was reported by Andscape, and it means that Harris will be there to support the MEAC champion as they take on the SWAC champion Florida A&M.
“We are thrilled that Vice President Harris is making time in her busy schedule to show her support for her alma mater. This gesture holds immense significance for our administration, coaches, and, most importantly, our student-athletes,” expressed Kery Davis, the Director of Athletics at Howard University.
“The Celebration Bowl truly embodies the spirit of HBCU excellence, and there is no better representation of this excellence than Vice President Harris.”
Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, has once again made an appearance to support Howard University athletics. Earlier this year, she attended Howard’s first-round NCAA Tournament Game against Kansas, where unfortunately, HU lost with a score of 96-68. However, this time, Harris and the Howard University team are hoping for a better outcome in the Celebration Bowl, which is set to be broadcast on ABC.
