One Dead After Road-rage Shooting In Indiana

One person died in a road rage shooting in northeastern Indiana on Wednesday morning.

According to an ISP representative, at around 4 a.m., someone called to report that he had been involved in a road rage incident that resulted in a shooting on westbound I-80/94.

The initial caller came to a stop on I-65 at 61st Avenue. The spokesman stated that troopers arrived at both the crash scene and the caller’s location.

When troopers got on the site, they attempted to provide first aid but discovered that the driver of the vehicle had died from what seemed to be a gunshot wound.

Troopers who responded to the original caller spoke with them about the events leading up to the altercation and determined that the wreck and the caller were the same occurrence, according to the spokeswoman.

The person who made the first call was arrested.

The suspect is being held at the Lake County Jail on a probable cause hold, according to the spokeswoman.

The deceased person’s identity has not been revealed at this time.
