Police: Former High School Basketball Coach From Spring Valley Faces Sexual Offenses Allegations

Aiexpress – The Special Victims Unit of the Arlington County Police Department in Virginia is currently conducting an investigation into George Porcha, a 53-year-old individual originally from Spring Valley, Rockland County. Porcha, who now resides in Winterville, North Carolina, is facing charges in connection with several sexually-based offenses that date back to allegations made in 2022.

Investigators are expressing their concern about the possibility of there being more victims.

The department initiated a thorough investigation in October 2022 after receiving a tip about potential incidents involving minors and Porcha. These incidents occurred between 2000 and 2003 when he served as a girls basketball coach at Washington-Liberty High School (formerly Washington-Lee High School).

This month, warrants were issued as a result of the investigation for offenses involving two girls who were minors and students at Washington-Liberty High School during the alleged instances.

There are no plans to release any additional information about the investigation.

Porcha, a well-established coach, had an impressive coaching career before facing legal complications. He made stops at various institutions, including Woodbridge and TV Williams High School. Additionally, he gained experience overseeing college ball at West Virginia University, Virginia Tech, Boston College, and Ole Miss.
