Aiexpress – Oscar Rosado-Nazario, a 40-year-old resident of Fairfield County and Bridgeport, was charged on Wednesday, January 17th, in the Walmart parking lot in Milford, New Haven County.
An employee at Dick’s Sporting Goods contacted Milford Police to report a shoplifter who was displaying suspicious behavior.
Upon the arrival of the police, Rosado-Nazario had already departed from the store. However, the employee was able to provide a detailed description of the vehicle he used to make his getaway.
Shortly after, the police officer identified a vehicle that matched the given description in the parking lot of Walmart and proceeded to stop Rosado-Nazario.
Police have determined that the rifle and handgun in question were actually BB guns, with no visible markings that could have made them look like replica or facsimile firearms.
Rosado-Nazario was apprehended and faced charges for having three weapons in a vehicle and possessing narcotics. Additionally, he received various motor vehicle citations.
After paying a $5,000 bond, he was released.
