When Roman McConn was just 5 years old, he came up with the idea for Project Freedom Ride. Since then, the organization has successfully saved nearly 5,000 dogs as of August 2023.
The organization transports dogs to their new families who found them online and realized they would be a perfect fit for their family. In some cases, the dogs are transferred to other shelters across the country, where there is more space available and a higher chance of finding an adopter.
