Rudy Giuliani Reports Income Around The Federal Poverty Level In Bankruptcy Filing

Aiexpress – According to financial statements filed on Friday, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani reported income for 2023 that was close to the federal poverty level.

The filing took place on Friday afternoon in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

According to a financial affairs statement, Giuliani reported earning $18,480 in gross income from January 1, 2023, until December 21 of that year, which was the day he filed for bankruptcy. It is worth noting that the Department of Health and Human Services stated that the federal poverty level for individuals in the previous year was $14,580.

Former President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, in his income report, disclosed that he earned a gross income of $200,000 in 2022. However, in 2021, he reported a negative income of -$55,511. He attributed his income sources from the past three years to Social Security benefits, as well as distributions from his pension and IRA.

Giuliani’s financial details reveal a notable contrast between his assets and liabilities. With assets totaling over $10.6 million, he faces a significant burden of nearly $153 million in liabilities. Additionally, his monthly net income stands at a modest $2,308. This financial snapshot offers insight into Giuliani’s financial standing and the financial challenges he may be grappling with.

In his affidavit, he stated that he possesses a luxurious $5.6 million condominium in New York, an exquisite $3.5 million single-family home in Palm Beach, Florida, and a sleek Mercedes-Benz SL500 worth $25,000.

According to Giuliani, he possesses an impressive collection of jewelry worth $30,000, which includes three Yankees World Series rings and a whopping 26 watches.

According to him, he has acquired a collection of sports memorabilia of undisclosed value. The collection comprises a shirt worn by Joe DiMaggio, as well as photographs featuring Reggie Jackson and Yankee Stadium.

According to the affidavit, Giuliani has a total of $100,000 and nearly $1.2 million in two separate IRA accounts. He also has over $160,000 in a 401(k), $14,000 in a checking account, and $351 in a savings account.

In his list of unliquidated claims, he included potential figures for an unpaid legal fees claim against Donald J. Trump and a defamation action against President Joseph Biden.

According to a recent filing, it was disclosed that Giuliani is facing a significant amount of debt ranging from $100 million to $500 million. This includes a substantial sum of $148 million that he owes in defamation damages to two Georgia election workers.
