Severe storm off the coast of Carolina leads to widespread flooding

A powerful low-pressure system near the Carolinas along the east coast is leading to widespread flooding in many areas.

Many areas have already seen more than 6 inches of rainfall, with some places receiving up to 12 inches. In addition to the heavy rain, strong winds are also pushing water onshore, leading to flash flooding and posing a threat to people in affected states.

Many areas along the east coast, stretching from South Carolina up to Maine, are expected to receive heavy rainfall, which could potentially pose a risk to residents in these regions.

Flash flood emergencies have been declared as a result of the water levels rising rapidly, accompanied by severe thunderstorm warnings and a few tornado warnings.

South-central Kentucky is not at risk of experiencing any storms from this particular weather event.
