In a dramatic statement from Mar-a-Lago, Trump declared that his team would challenge the ruling made by New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur F. Engoron. He expressed confidence in a successful appeal, stating that the consequences of failure would be dire for New York state. Trump pointed to the ongoing exodus of people leaving the state and warned that this trend would only accelerate if the decision was not overturned.
As a result of the decision, Donald Trump will be prohibited from holding any position as an officer or director of a New York corporation for a period of three years, including the Trump Organization. Additionally, his sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, have been removed from their leadership positions. Judge Engoron’s ruling also prevents Trump from obtaining loans from any bank in New York State, posing a significant challenge to his appeal efforts.
