Two Dead In University Of Colorado Dorm Shooting

Aiexpress – Two people were killed in a dorm room on the University of Colorado campus in Colorado Springs on Friday, but authorities claimed the shooting was not an ongoing threat.

Colorado Springs Police stated in a statement on X that “this morning, just before 6 a.m., UCCS Dispatch received a call for service regarding shots fired in a dorm room on campus.” UCCS Police arrived and obtained entry to the dorm room at 6:05 a.m. They located two dead people, both with at least one gunshot wound.

According to the police statement, the homicide section is examining the killings “as an isolated incident.”

The campus was closed on Friday, and counseling services will be available to both staff and students.

The police said they were contacting family members as they investigated the fatalities.

There have been no arrests, and police would not disclose whether or not they believe there are any suspects at large.

The El Paso County Coroner is determining the formal cause of death, and the victims’ names are anticipated to be published later.
