Authorities have been actively searching for Abel Acosta for the past two years.

Acosta is the alleged perpetrator in a tragic shooting at a Garland convenience store that resulted in the deaths of three teenagers and the injury of another.

On December 26, 2021, a triple-slaying occurred at the 700 block of West Walnut Street, located just north of downtown Garland.

Garland Police reported that Acosta discharged a minimum of 20 rounds within a span of nine seconds.

In an earlier incident in 2023, Richard Acosta Jr., a 35-year-old man, was charged with capital murder for his involvement in the triple shooting. He was accused of being the getaway driver.

Tuesday morning brought a flood of emotions for Noyola’s mother, Reyna Macedonio. Overwhelmed with tears, she couldn’t help but reminisce about the rollercoaster ride they had endured over the past two years.

“I hold that pain deep within my heart,” expressed Macedonio sorrowfully. “If only I had the chance to spend just three more minutes with him, to ask him what he did. What could he have possibly done to deserve such a tragic end?”

Macedonio expressed her intention to pay a visit to her son’s gravesite later in the evening on Tuesday.

The family of Gonzalez shared their thoughts at his gravesite in an interview with NBC 5.

“It’s so unjust, and now we find ourselves in this cemetery, a place we never should have had to visit in the first place. He was the vibrant soul of our family, the one who brought joy and laughter to every gathering. And now, here we are,” expressed Brenda Salinas, the aunt of Gonzalez.

The Garcia family could not be reached for comment at the moment.

Garland Police have stated that there have been no new updates regarding the suspect’s location. However, they are actively pursuing leads and conducting a thorough search for both the suspect and anyone who may be assisting him.

If you have any information related to this case, please contact Garland Crime Stoppers at 972-272-8477. The police are actively seeking any leads or tips that could help in their investigation.
