A New York man recently won a $1 million prize by correctly matching the first five numbers in a Mega Millions drawing.
According to officials from the New York Lottery, James Holloman from Syracuse successfully matched the numbers on November 17, 2023.
The numbers drawn for that evening’s lottery were: 06 12 31 33 69 Mega Ball 17.
To play Mega Millions, players are required to select five numbers ranging from 1 to 70, along with one number from 1 to 25 for the Mega Ball. In order to secure the Mega Millions jackpot, players must match the exact six numbers displayed in the drawn combination, which includes five numbers as well as the Mega Ball.
After the necessary withholdings, officials stated that Holloman received a lump sum payment of $650,000.
The lucky ticket was bought at Smokes 4 Less, situated at 59 Plank Rd. in Newburgh.
The Mega Millions drawing for tonight will take place at 11 p.m.
