California gas station sells winning Powerball ticket worth $647,000

In a fortunate twist of fate, a Powerball enthusiast from Northern California has become the proud owner of a winning ticket worth an impressive $650,000. The California Lottery has confirmed that this fortunate individual successfully matched the first five numbers during the draw on Monday night.

The lucky winner bought the winning ticket at the Chevron gas station on Fulton Avenue in Sacramento. After accounting for taxes, the ticketholder will take home a grand total of $647,970, according to the California Lottery.

The numbers drawn for Monday night’s Powerball were 39, 41, 43, 49, and 64, with the Powerball number being 4.

Despite the impressive victory, no one managed to win the jackpot in this multi-state lottery game. As a result, the jackpot is set to increase to an estimated $188 million for the next draw, which is scheduled for Wednesday.
