After her stint at the iconic coffee and donut chain, former employee Sav (@possiblysav) took to TikTok to spill some juicy secrets.

FROZEN FRENZY

In a video shared on her account, she mentioned that everything is delivered frozen, including the eggs, bagels, and munchkins, if they are even made in-house at your location.

She didn’t disclose the specific Dunkin’ location, but she did share some insight into the donut delivery process at her store. According to her, the donuts are typically delivered in a truck, usually around 2 or 3 am.

The donuts were sourced from a bakery located 30 to 40 minutes away.

The donut you grab at 5 or 6 am on your way to work or to drop off your children is the same donut you’ll find at 3 or 4 o’clock when you’re getting them something to eat.

The U.S. Sun conducted their own investigation and reached out to several Dunkin’ employees in the area.

An employee from a Dunkin’ Donuts location on 157 W 47th St in New York expressed uncertainty regarding the frequency of standard donut shipments. This is because most restaurants are franchises and operated by independent owners.

To her knowledge, the Dunkin’ Donuts branch she frequents bakes fresh donuts each morning.

In a TikTok video, Sav shared her insights on the process of making iced teas and iced coffees.

According to her, the cold brews are kept in large plastic satchel containers, and these containers should be replaced once a new batch is completed.

However, this is not always the case.

Sav explained that there are days when you come across numerous tasks, and one of them might stay with you throughout the entire day.

Sometimes, people tend to mix up coffee and tea, using them interchangeably. It’s not uncommon to start with tea, then switch to coffee, and then go back to tea again, and so on.

She also revealed a surprising and unpleasant finding: there are instances where food can be completely overlooked and forgotten about.

She said that food often ends up sitting in the hot trays.

One time, I came across a photo of a ham that had been left in the hot tray for a staggering 12 hours. It was a result of negligence, as nobody had bothered to remove the hot trays assuming they were already clean.

She then shared a picture of sliced ham that had a slightly brownish color.

“I didn’t even realize that this happens,” one user commented gratefully.

“Oh yeah! There are some unpleasant things that happen behind the scenes,” Sav replied.

UN-COOL-ATTAS

Dunkin’ describes one of their popular frozen drinks on their website as having “fun and refreshing flavors that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.”

But according to Sav, the reality is not as delicious as it may seem.

She encouraged her followers to avoid getting Coolattas.

According to a former insider, the Coolatta machine is rarely cleaned.

“I once witnessed the Coolatta machine at my main location being cleaned, and to my dismay, it was infested with mold. It was truly repulsive.”

According to her, the machine is rarely wiped down, even during breaks for drinks.

In your coffee Coolatta, you might detect traces of other flavors like blue raspberry.

When you’re aiming to reduce your caffeine consumption, she also offered a handy suggestion.

She advised, “When ordering decaf coffee, always request a fresh pot to ensure it is hot.”

“The decaf is typically left sitting for a few hours, resulting in a cup of burnt decaf.”

Another Dunkin’ employee revealed which drink contains additional calories.
