Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing and has pleaded not guilty to allegations of involvement in an unlawful attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
During the 2020 election, Kemp and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger stood firm against pressure from Trump to help overturn his loss in the state. Despite facing Trump’s anger, Kemp emerged victorious in his 2022 reelection campaign, even with a Trump-backed primary challenger.
In considering the consequences of fixating on the 2020 presidential election, Kemp stresses the significance of conservatives redirecting their focus towards forward-thinking matters.
